Director - Ben Chessell Ben Chessell graduated from Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2001. His highly acclaimed graduation film, ‘The Only Person In The World’ was released theatrically with ‘Italian For Beginners’ by Palace Films. It was a finalist at the 2002 Dendy Awards, nominated for an AFI, and awarded Best Short Film by the Australian Circle of Film Critics, as well as screening at over twenty film festivals. Ben went on to make the AFC funded short ‘Heartworm’, and spent six months in Germany where he made ‘A Familiar Lullaby This Time In German’. Ben most recently wrote and directed a fifty minute telemovie for SBSi, ‘Heartbreak Tour’ with Toby Schmitz, Anthony Hayes, Caroline Craig, Nathaniel Dean and Alexandra Schiepsi. ‘Heartbreak Tour’ was been nominated for the 2006 Melbourne Prize for Literature. He is currently developing five feature films, ‘Writing Rain’ with producer Louise Smith, ‘Sucker’ (cowritten with Lawrence Leung) with producer Jason Byrne, ‘Overtime’ (writer, Rjurik Davidson), ‘God's Own’ (funded by Film Victoria), and ‘History’ (as part of his Masters in Screenwriting). Producer - Nina Hutchinson Nina Hutchison worked in graphic design before taking a break from the corporate world to complete an honours degree in Media Arts at Rmit. Nina has had several exhibitions of her work in photography, video & sound installation. In 2004 she leapt back into the world of work, this time in production, of music video, commercials, and film, producing two of the ‘Little Deaths’ films and co-ordinating the production of six iconic VB beer commercials by Tony Rogers. In early 2005 Nina produced ‘Webster Say’ a short film funded by GTV9, production managed ‘The Deal’ starring Glenn Robbins, and has since spent six months in production on ‘Charlotte’s Web’, most recently working on local feature ‘Rats & Cats’.
