The groove of a mattress contains all of Olivia’s memories of her lost love.  She will do anything to get rid of it, but the mattress does not want to go.

Directors - Jarrah Gurrie and Genevieve Bailey

Jarrah Gurrie and Genevieve Bailey met at the School of Creative Arts, Melbourne University in 1999 and have been making short movies together ever since. Their last film together, ‘Indi’, collected 6 awards at the 2004 15/15 Film Festival including Best Film,
Best Directors, Best Cinematography, Best Editors, Best Story and Best Actress. The film has screened internationally at film festivals including the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain. ‘Bright Lights’ won the inaugural Geelong Shootout 24hr Filmmaking Festival. A panel of 10 industry judges awarded the film Best Direction, Cinematography, Actor and Overall Film. ‘Bright Lights’ also screened at the St Kilda Film Festival.

Genevieve is currently working on a documentary, ‘Pier Boys’ which has received funding from the Victorian Government - ‘Images of Age’ program. Jarrah is currently completing music videos for Mark Seymour and James Reyne.

Producer – Marni Holuigue

For  ten years now, Marni Holuigue has worked in various facets of the Australian Film Industry, which have included music videos, short films, corporate films and numerous commercials. Marni has assisted and facilitated add campaigns, both for the domestic and overseas market.

In 2001, Marni worked with some members of this collective as Production Manager on the award winning short film "Roundabout" directed by Rachel Griffiths, and was enthusiastic to collaborate with them again as well as  all the others ,for the unique project that is, Little Deaths.
