Director - Sian Davies

As a commercial director, Sian Davies has developed her unique style on diverse range of work involving everything from visual effects to car stunts. She is best known for her high profile spots for the Victorian Drug Initiative, the TAC and Just Jeans. In addition to her commercial work, Sian has directed television drama and is part of the award winning creative team from Big hART, who produced the AFI Nominated 8-part series ‘Knot at Home’ for SBS.

Sian is a writer/director whose films have screened at numerous prestigious international festivals. She recently completed her Film Victoria funded short ‘Poetry’ and is in preproduction on her latest short ‘Pinata’. She is in development on a feature adaptation of the Booker Prize nominated novel ‘Carry Me Down’ by M.J. Hyland with producer Selin Yaman. She is also developing a feature length adaptation of the novel ‘Miss Me A Lot Of’ by Louise Wareham-Leonard with producer Michael Wrenn.

Producer – Jason Byrne

Jason Byrne is an independent producer. His vast experience has allowed him to work in parts of the industry as diverse as puppetry and animation in the United States and producing high-end television commercials and feature films in Australia. In 2001 Jason’s established his own company Wasabi Pictures that provides filmmakers with production and post-production facilities.

Since then he has co-produced Rachel Griffiths’ short film ‘Roundabout’, which won Best Australian Short Film at the Melbourne Film Festival, Australian Film Critics Circle Awards and screened at the Dendy Awards, LA, Palm Springs, and Telluride Film Festivals in North America. His other short films include director Clayton Jacobson’s 2003 POV film ‘I Love You’ which won Best Film, ‘The Opposite of Velocity’, ‘Fish’, the AFC funded ‘Storytime’, ‘One Minute’ with Josh Whiteman and ‘Booth Story’ with Edwin McGill.

In 2003 Jason co-produced the feature film ‘One Perfect Day’ which received multiple nominations at the AFI and IF awards, winning best sound design. It received a wide release nationally, and an American release in March 2005. Other projects include the 50 minute tele-feature ‘The Heart Break Tour’ in 2005, and in 2006 the ABC documentary ‘ Beyond the Backyard’, and the feature film ‘Rats and Cats’ with director Tony Rogers. In 2007 Jason produced the ABC feature documentary ‘Shadowplay’.

Jason currently has in development the feature documentary ‘Butterfly Song’ with international music icon David Bridie, the feature film ‘Sucker’ with Ben Chessell, ‘The Girls’ with Clayton Jacobson and ‘No Prisoners’ with Paul Middleditch.
